Common Customer Questions about TapmasterĀ®

March 7, 2017

We get a lot of questions from people about what the Tapmaster® is and how it works, and often their questions are very similar. While we have a FAQ page which covers the most common questions, this post is intended to address the ones we have seen when speaking directly to our customers. So, if there was something you were unsure about, check out below to see if others have had the same issue:

Do I have to buy a special faucet to use Tapmaster®?

In short, no. Tapmaster® is designed to work with any faucet in your kitchen, bathroom, or medical/dental application. The Tapmaster® valves and activators attach directly to the hot and cold waters lines under your sink, so  as long as you leave the faucet handle open, Tapmaster® will work with any faucet.

Does Tapmaster® sell faucets?

We do not sell any faucets in our product lines, as the Tapmaster® is designed to be used as an add-on to pre-existing faucet installations.

How do I control the temperature and flow rate using Tapmaster®?

This answer depends on the model of Tapmaster you purchase. For most of our models, such as the 1720, 1750, 1770, and 1780 the temperature is set using the handle on your pre-existing faucet. For the model 1786 and 1756 (now discontinued) however, you can control the temperature using the hot and cold foot controls.

Who can order from Tapmaster®?

Anyone in the U.S or Canada can order from us. We accept orders via our website or over the phone, and can be reached from 8:00am – 5:00pm (MST) from Monday to Friday. For large orders and/or commercial orders, we recommend calling us at 1-800-791-8117.

How can I pay for my Tapmaster®

We accept multiple payment types including credit cards (VISA, Mastercard) and checks. Orders made through our website however must be made through PayPal for your security, as we do not store or transmit credit card data through our website.

Does Tapmaster® require maintenance?

Tapmaster® does not require any maintenance to the pilot valves or actuators (euro foot probe, kick-pedal, cabinet door, etc). However, it is highly recommended that you periodically clean the valve blocks (the blocks that attach to your water lines) by soaking them in a vinegar and water mixture. This helps prevent mineral buildup within the blocks, which is especially prominent in hard water systems.

These are just a few of the questions we get on a day to day basis. Of course, if this or our FAQ page do not answer your questions, do not hesitate to call us at 1-866-791-8117 with your concerns or email us at info@tapmaster.ca
